FAQ
Commonly asked questions about our Clothing Labels
Commonly asked questions about our Clothing Labels
Can I remove clothing labels?
With some effort, they will come off, which is great if you’re passing down, donating, or selling clothing. Iron-Ons: Slightly warm the Iron-On labels with a hairdryer and pick away at the edges. For our Tag Mates, pick at one corner of the label to lift it and then peel the label. Other options are labeling atop the existing label if passing down clothing to a sibling or cutting the tags off if donating garments.
This is my first order, what should I get?
So many labels, so many choices! If you’re not sure what you need, it may look a little overwhelming. A combo package is typically the best option for first-time labeling, so that you can try out a variety of label shapes and sizes for clothing, shoes, school supplies, bottles and more. The Daycare Label Pack is a popular choice for a wee one who’s just going into daycare. The Starter Label Pack is always a safe choice for kids of any ages.
Do you carry sew-in labels?
Firstly, congrats on having the skills to sew! At this time, we do not carry sew-in labels. However, we have three durable methods for labeling and marking clothing! Our Peel and Stick Tag Mate labels simply apply to the care tag of clothing or linens, our Iron-On labels fuse right to the fabric with a household iron, and our Custom Clothing Stamp allows you to imprint light colored garments with a quick and easy stamp!
Are your labels really laundry-safe?
Yes! They’re made to withstand the washer and dryer. As long as they’re applied properly they’ll withstand wash after wash.
Tag Mates must be applied to a clothing care tag (i.e., the tag with the size and washing instructions), and are not guaranteed to stick when placed directly onto the clothing fabric. After applying Tag Mates to the care tag, we recommend waiting 24 hours before laundering.
My Kid has sensory issues and hates clothing tags, I cut them out, how can I still label clothing?
If you cut out your clothing tag or have clothing that doesn’t have one, our popular Tag Mates won’t work, they’ll only stick to a tag. However, we have plenty of great label options for tag-less clothing! Our Custom Clothing Stamp is a top-seller as well as our Iron-On labels.
But why do kids lose everything?
Some questions in life are unanswerable. What we do know, is that labels help lessen the opportunities for stuff to get lost and make it easier to recover when it does happen. Plus, the help angels send down from heaven (aka teachers) they make sure that labeled belonging find their way back to the owners.
